KMUTT Wi-Fi introduction

There are 3 names of wireless system of KMUTT
1. KMUTT_WiFi  is the wireless system that show the Wi-Fi manual of  KMUTT-Secure and KMUTT-SecureN.
You will see this SSID on all devices.
2. KMUTT-Secure is the wireless system that provide in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz coverage areas.
You will see this SSID on all devices.
3. KMUTT-SecureN is the wireless system that provide in only 5 GHz coverage area.
You will see this SSID 0n the only supported devices.

How to set up KMUTT-Secure Wireless Network

For those who have not use KMUTT-Secure before, please follow each step carefully

Change your password using the link below.

Step by step guide: How to set up KMUTT-Secure and KMUTT-SecureN

1. Left Click on your Desktop, and then select the ‘Settings icon


2. On the Setting tab, left click and select  ‘Control Panel


3. In the ‘Control Panel’ window,  select ‘Network and Internet’
Then, select ‘View network status and tasks’ to set up your wifi network

4. In the ‘Network and Sharing Center’, select Set up a new connection or network


5. In the ‘Set Up a Connection or Network’ window
Then, select Manually connect to a wireless network to set up a new wireless profile


6. In the ‘Manually connect to a wireless network’ window, select the following details:
Network name: KMUTT-Secure   *(Use both upper case and lower case exactly as suggested)
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
Then, click Next


7. “Successfully added KMUTT-Secure” will appear.
Then, click on ‘Change connection setting’ to continue with the set up.


8. In the ‘KMUTT-Secure Wireless network Properties’ window, select the following details
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
At ‘Choose a network authentication method’, select ‘Settings


9. In the ‘Protected EAP Properties’ window
untick ‘Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate’, then click ‘OK


10. Left Click on the ‘wireless network’ icon in the System tray


11. In the “Networks” pane, left click and then select ‘KMUTT-Secure’, then click on ‘Connect


12. Enter the username and password provided by the university

then, click ‘OK

For Staff
Username: username.sur
Password: *******
For Students
Username: 54xxxxxxx
Password: *******


13. After completing the connection, KMUTT-Secure status will appear as ‘Connected’ which shows that Wi-Fi connection to the university is successful


14. You can check the profile as follows:

Press the ‘windows’ and ‘r’ keys at the same time

Enter ‘cmd’, then click ‘OK


15. Type netsh wlan show profiles and then pressenter
The KMUTT-Secure profile will appear

16. You can delete the profile as follows:

Right click ‘KMUTT-Secure’ on the message menu

Select ‘Forget this network to delete the profile

*KMUTT-SecureN setting is similar to KMUTT-Secure. You just edit in the step 6 at Network name (SSID).
The Network name
: KMUTT-SecureN (use both upper case and lower case exactly as suggested)
